What do we do?
Invercargill based Food Rescue Trust is the link between businesses who donate surplus food and social service agencies who distribute the food. Our service supports those in need of food and as a fortunate side outcome also helps reduce food wastage costs.
We are a non-profit organisation run by volunteers. Our organisation by-line is ‘Locals helping locals’ the idea being that those who can help, are confident they are looking after their own back yard. Similarly, those in need of help know they have a community that cares.
